A way to sell items from inventory to a store or mod that has that feature?

I was wondering if anybody knows if there is a way to sell items from your inventory to a shop, much like the consignment shop in Sims 3? Right now its just drag and drop, but it feels so hollow do...

I wish. It would be really cool feature for the knitting ideas too being able to do that.
