- I adore the rabbit hole career buildings personally. It especially makes things easier when playing more than one sim. You send them off to work and they do their thing while you can focus on other sims in the household. We got more interactive careers in ambitions and to me, those were fun for a little while but I haven't played any of them in a long time because it's just too much hassle because I rarely ever just play one or two sims. I don't really have strong feelings either way on things like grocery or clothes shopping. I like having instant access in sims 3 but if they made stores like in sims 2 I'd be fine. I would like to see more interactive restaurants though.
- I agree with Alysha. If you've ever tried playing a fireman with a large family, you come to appreciate rabbit hole jobs.
- What I think would be a good idea would be for the buildings in community/build/buy section to be shells. They could have a private room marker( like the apartments in LN) and a rabbit hole type of marker. That way you could go in and remove the marker and customize the interior if you would like an open business or leave it so that it could be a rabbit hole. I would just need a marker you could use to make sure your Sims would recognize the building for what it was supposed to be.
I know I'd love to be able to use some of those buildings as shells I could customize. Other things I would think would be incredibly boring to have open.
Right now I do things like build my own bookstores but I think having an open school would be pretty boring. - I like the rabbitholes. Once I have more than one Sim in the family and they're not always around each other, it's nice to know one or two Sims are taken care of because of a rabbithole so I can focus on the one that's still at home.
- It's strange to see how many people like the rabbitholes
I remember when the game just came out, I hated the rabbitholes, I think it is becasue there wasn't much to do in town that wasn't a rabbithole at the beginning. Now we have bowling alleys, coffee shops and so much more that I am greatfull to see a sim dissapear and not having to babysit that one
I agree, a family of sims and ambitions careers are a load. I had a PI working in the day, 2 kids ( baby and teen) and a ghost-hunter, managing the family is already enough work, having to look after a sim while they work makes it much harder to manage. - There are some rabbitholes that I'd like to see opened up like the restaurants. I don't really need to grocery shop with my sim but if it were open that would be OK. If the medical, law enforcement and crime careers were more interactive that would be fun.
There are some rabbitholes that I want to stay as rabbitholes. I do not want to follow my sim children to school each day. I want some jobs like the business career to stay closed. I don't want to want my sim conduct meetings.
I play families rather than single sims so I can't micromanage all of them all at the same time. I need to send some away so that I can concentrate on others. bratattack wrote:
Actually being able to go to work and get a set of tasks on a list to complete each day. Being able to go grocery shopping like in real life. Being able to walk through all of the stores and venues and into the spa. No more rabbit holes!
I would sacrifice all of these ideas you listed for an open world. Doesn't bother me. They added the fast forward time options for a reason.- You can tell that most of the people who want all RHs banished only play one sim at a time. :P I tend to play families so I do not want to have to try to micromanage everyone.
Having rabbit holes as workplaces is vastly superior to the old TS2 system, where they just disappeared offscreen. How boring was that??
But I do want open shops and restaurants and I want a way to customize all buildings so some kind of programmable marker like the fog emitters would be ideal. KRae236 wrote:

Well,me let ask a question, if rabbit holes can be made open where you want get bored or not have fun large families. Would you buy or play it? Also I'm bored with the fact that I can see them go to a building and not customize it or walk-in to look in side the place. I didn't like that they disappeared in the sims 2 for work. In my opinion Im very upset with rabbit holes, I want to make a hospital my way, not EA's way. I want to make a business build from scratch, and operate it. If EA would take time with this New Sims game, I bet they won't disappoint us with Open Rabbit holes, if done the correct way. My Idea is that if the Sims 4 come out in mid Sept 2014 that would give them some time to play with the open rabbit Hole idea. I believe it can be done where we wont get bored or have to slow done our Sim Families. There is a way to do this they just need time and options to help bring this to life. Yes, the game could lag or use more memory. They just need to play around with the idea. It couldn't Hurt could it?
It could hurt if the game becomes so laggy for some that it becomes unplayable.
