Aging off or on and why?

I typically play one family per save with ageing off for everyone. I sometimes age up a toddler manually to a child, teen or young adult depending on the story. I spend a lot of time creating my sims and get ridiculously attached to them. I've actually been playing the same family in my main save since I started playing TS4 shortly after it was released. My main sim is a vampire though so he wouldn't age anyway. I like playing out long stories and enjoying new features with my favourite characters when I get a new pack. It would be a hassle creating children, partners etc. for premades too if I played with ageing on. I guess I'm a bit of a control freak.
