Ai! Lost my Sim-baby O_O"

May this serve as a warning for my fellow cheaters <3

So...having testingcheats enabled, I tried to cheat my nooboo's needs up. The 'make happy' option was not there when I clicked on the crib, but a strange-looking empty option was. I clicked it (what the heck, right?) and sparkles then surrounded the thing... but the nooboo was gone. Gone from the household as well. So, I'm left with an empty crib and a birth certificate on the wall.

Trial and error certainly is an effective learning method. I think I'm scarred for life :#

PS: All of the remaining Sims now have a sad moodlet saying 'Baby whisked away'. I feel so terrible trying to cut corners.
  • I done that once as well. I was fortunate though I had the MCCC mod, because of that the baby was placed in another household and I was able to get the baby back.
  • I've done that before. :# I was curious as to what would happen, whoops. Luckily I'm paranoid, so I saved right before. :D

I've also accidentally deleted them entirely by unintentionally clicking "destroy object".
  • There are two types of people in the world... those who can resist the urge to click the blank bubble and see what it does, and the rest of us.

I did quit without saving when it happened to me.
  • The motto of your story is: Be careful which icon you click. Personally, I would simply roll back a game save to recover the baby.

I decided to leave it be as an unkind reminder to myself to watch what the heck I'm doing :/

The couple already has 3 kids, so it's not that big of a loss when everything comes down to it. But yeah, it caught me off guard.
  • I have mcc so when I click it the baby goes to another family because I have selected the option to adopt neglected babies or whatever. It comes in handy sometimes. Interesting stories!
