All of my Households are suddenly gone

I'm literally going to cry as all of my households that I've been creating and playing for years are somehow gone from my saved game. I played a week ago and all of my families were there, today and logged it and continued building the house I've been preparing for one of the families. When I finished I went to play, so I can move them and I realized that none of my households were in their respective houses, not even the default ones. Literally 0 in both active and inactive tabs of the management menu. I tried to revert to an old save but I can only see the ones from today. I chatted with an advisor and logged out and checked again and they were still missing. The notifications look like I've deleted the sims but I'm absolutely certain I haven't deleted anything and no one has access to my PC. I haven't added any bonus content, CCs or scripts, literally last thing that happened was an auto update from the EA app. I'm just speechless, has someone encountered a similar issue/bug? I'd greatly appreciate if someone has any advice. Thanks!
