All these danged calls about new friends... Oh gawd please make them stop

Why oh why oh why did they code this into the game? For what unearthly purpose do these repeated calls that zap me out of super-fast mode serve???? I haven't yet found a current mod to end the madness...

Especially since, as the game tells you when it sends death calls to your toddler and you try to answer the call -- your toddler doesn't have a phone!
