Am I doing this wrong, with the no trespassing on the door?

I clicked on my sim's door to say no trespassing to vampires. Then two nights later this happens.

    Odd that they still trespass aganist no trespassing. Looks like EA goofed again. This is one reason why I make the front yard, especially by the stairs, a garlic plantation as quickly as possible.

    Did you travel or go to CAS afterwards? Settings get reset while doing so.

    Well that stinks, hopefully, EA will address this resetting issue.

    My sim did some traveling that day, she came back with her new hubby who is Vlad's victim. She did wake up during and catch him in the act of attacking her husband. She was not taking her craft very seriously until now, she's a witch, and well let's just say a future enemy to him.

    I had the same thing! Vlad came to my door, which reminded me to lock it for vampires. Then the next night he broke in, walking with his hands up like a praying mantis. I swear I thought I locked the door. Maybe its a bug.

    Also, could your door be backwards? Try setting it to block someone in your household and see if they can come in. If they can, go into build/buy and flip the door so the arrows point the other way. (I think doors and windows are supposed to point outwards. Some of the styles make it difficult to tell.) Now try to lock it again. If it works that might have been your problem and the No Trespassing lock should work now.

    Would a garlic wreath covered by another object or decoration still work when keeping vampires away? If so, placing it close to the bedroom doors would fix the no trespassing glitch.

    I used no trespassing and Vlad came to visit, turned on his heels and left. Seems to be working for me. I play with MCCC only.

    Yeah it resets after traveling or exiting the game I’ve noticed. I’ve had to be careful to remember it when I go back in.
