Now that's shaping up to be a good story lol. In a situation like this, will the sim who has been cheated on eventually discover that the child isn't his? I know that the game will recognize the proper relationship in the relationship panel but will the sim ever get an angry moodlet or something?
A recent mini-story in my save revealed that the cuckolded husband (because of the nature of the story, it was a man impregnating married women) got listed in the family tree as "step-father" and, if the situation required it, would raise the child as if it were his own natural flesh and blood.
So the game knows. Presumably the husband knows. But he just rolls with it.
Likewise, the game's a little iffy about recognizing in-laws. One of my sims' sons came over with his wife for a visit, and because she was in a flirty mood, she started putting the moves on her father-in-law! There would've been nothing at all to stop me had I decided to make her the mother not only of her husband's kid, but her husband's brother and father as well!
Luckily for the boys, their family's on my "nice" Santa list, so that option was scrapped, but I've kept it in the wings for future "fun" involving half-brothers and their different moms...who needs a family tree when you can have a family ouroborous...
