Not new with culling just annoying. I never was a fan of culling especially since a Sims 2 fan video called Delete shows where all the lost Sims go which was pretty scary. Culling stinks for rotational players. :( Culling is why MCCC is a must mod for me.
If a family is favorited, by the
new system, they aren't supposed to be culled, though. These were all played families, just not in my active lot. I use MCCC, but didn't find it necessary how to learn to set it for no culling. these households were already marked as favorite! I don't wish to have my towns explode, but it's disheartening to lose so many of my own Sims currently. "There's something rotten in Denmark" to quote from Shakespeare!
