Animals gone from Brindelton Bay?

Haven't had any bugs really at all in my game -but mine was a brand new game I started after Cats and Dogs, right before JA came out.

I use no mods, CC, or cheats - and I am playing in Brindleton Bay - and seeing all the normal strays as well as the Maxis sims with their pets.

I have Seasons set to 28 days each - have not altered the calendar at all, or built a greenhouse, and started the game with Spring - so no issues in my game thus far - knocks on wood, that it stays that way. I did give all my sims houses a thermostat, outfits from the warm and cold clothing, and an umbrella rack.

Although I rarely have game issues. I did not restart a new game because of any issues - but because I always do that in the Sims after we get some form of pets that requires so much game re-coding - and it always works out well for me.

Good question, but I don't have Seasons. Don't intend to until serious repairs are made, about the level of making Titanic fit to enter Boston Harbor under her own power. Too many bugs and broken stuff.

Do you have lots with a lot of dog hang out and cat hang out traits? It does take them a while to travel the world.
One more thing to check is if you allow enough sims in your world if it’s max strays won’t show up.

@simgirl1010 I wasn't sure. I never noticed many animals when I occasionally visited but now that I have a sim living on one of the lots there are at least 10 different cats walking up the street in front of my sims house everyday, all day. Maybe they are like rocks and plants.

Forgot to mention that it takes an enormous amount of time to get a sim to interact with an animal. Depending on the situation when the directive is given, the sim either stands or sits where they were with the command not even in the cue, but above it. They eventually start to respond, but the critter is often long gone by then, making the intended action pointless.

Are they all dying off and not being replaced?

No mods, no CC, no animals. I have no idea what is or is not going on other than what I see. In this case, don't see. Personal suspicion is that a pack or update after C&D broke something. It's happened before.

Have made at least four visits to Brindelton Bay for the purpose of animal hunting. Other than infinite seagulls I've found one dog and three cats. The visits have been made on random scattered days, in different game saves with different sims. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but the impression I got from the various EA promotions of the pack is that B Bay is liberally supplied with furry folk needing homes. There is no animal shelter in the game, so how (other than via CAS when one makes a new sim/family) can a sim obtain a furry friend? It appears that we were either hornschwaggled or something broke.

How plentiful? One cat in the entire 'world' is hardly abundance. I've found more fruit trees to harvest.

I'm playing in Brindleton Bay and have experienced just the opposite. I have significantly more stray pets in my game. I've had to go into Manage Worlds a couple of times to delete them.

Just went into Manage Worlds and there were 4 new pet households.

Looks like the animals in our games have gone to the other folks' games. Not surprised the strays are sick, being out on their own. Am wondering if this is something to report to someone, or just wait and see.
