Animations / Activities I'd love to see
It's no secret Sims 4 reuses the same handful of animations for just about everything in game. Which got me to thinking of unique animations I'd love to see (eventually at some point hopefully).
- A tea set that actually works like one: ie - sim pulls a cup towards themselves, pours the tea into the cup gently, drops in sugar or cream, stirs, puts the spoon down, and drinks the cup. Once the cup is finished, it can be walked with around the house, or put on a table, etc. The animations can vary slightly depending on what tea you're making / what version of the teapot you have. If you're making green tea from a clay pot, the sim can go through the traditional motions of a chinese tea ceremony, or with tall glasses, make indian marsala tea, or with little porcelin cups, british style tea.

Each method would use slightly different animations, but be really calming to watch, and great for storytellers.
- Footstools that can be "snapped" onto couches and living chairs - complete with sims putting up their feet if they are tired or lazy or stressed. Maybe a really tired sim could put up their feet on the stool, and slump down and fall asleep sitting up in the couch!

- Sims who are snobs can hold their pinky out when drinking from a glass, and keep their arms off the table. Sims who are slobs can lean into the table and slouch in their chairs, gluttons can bend down and eat more messily than they already do, shoveling food directly into their mouths. Children can pick at their food with their hands and push it around the plate, Elders can get occasionally tremors in their hands while bringing food to their mouths.
- Sims can pick up cats and small dogs like a 'sack of potatoes' and carry them around like this. Cats can ride on shoulders, and small dogs can be cradled like a baby. Children and toddlers can curl up on the dog bed (or bed) with large dogs and nap on the dog. Children and toddlers are also free to nap on large pet beds. Toddlers can ride large dogs like a horse if the two are friends. Children who are going through a bear phase could crawl around the house after their pets sometimes, or stomp after them while roaring.

- Parents should be able to nap on the couch with their children leaning against them.
- Couples should be able to nap on the couch together too.
- Laptops are actually able to be used IN THE LAP, and on the couch, bed, floor, etc.
- Sims reading on the bed can crawl up to the pillows, lean against the pillows, and read there, instead of using the bed like a chair and sitting on the edge. (ouch back pain!!)
- Bunk beds - kids can crawl up to the top level! Toddler and kids beds should be able to be connected (toddler on bottom floor) - jumping on beds! Hiding under the beds (when there's space) to scare other sims (adults and other kids can look for "missing" child and get spooked when they reveal themselves!)
- Loner sims could do a self-hug (arms wrapped around themselves, or both hands covering their elbows, a protective measure) when around a large group of people.
- Sims should be able to shake hands, give high-fives, group hugs, etc. I'd like a 'run into arms' sort of interaction, like a long-lost friend is seen again after time away and they run together to do that slight pick-up hug with the swinging around...
- Kids who have high relationships with their parents should run and hug the parent returning from home instead of just standing around excited.
- Teens should be able to kick their feet, or lie flat, face-first on their beds and pout. Teens who have bad grades could avoid talking to their parents, or have options to lie about their grades. Two teens on a couch together who are romantic interests should do that slight hand touch thing where they get closer nervously, then interlock their pinky fingers and smile at each other.
- Children and teens and childish/evil adults should be able to 'deface' another sim's painting/drawing with goofy nonsense like evil mustaches, glitter, a mad face, etc.
- Sims should be able to sit on their porch steps when they are tall enough, and just hang out there.
- Sims could sit on the grass outside and pick at the grass/pull it up, look for bugs, etc. Nap in the grass, get a "bitten up" moodlet.
- Children should be able to climb up applicable trees on a lot. Maybe they can get stuck if their athletic is low, and a teen or adult has to help them down. Same for cats!
- Blanket capes for kids and childish teens/adults?? run around the house pretending to fly, making "nyooom" noises.
- Children can hold a toddler's hands and put the toddler's feet over their feet and "dance" with them.
- Sims actually dance together, like, next to one another, WITH each other (why are they so far apart all the time  )
- Game of "tag" with actual "rules" - person who starts the game is always "it"
- Moody sims can sit on the floor or their bed or the couch with their knees up and "contemplate life" to get out of a funk
- Sims can either be afraid of thunder or LOVE it (maybe a hidden trait?) and sims who love thunder can go to the window and pick "watch storm" for a happy moodlet. Sims can watch rain and snow from the windows as well. If they watch snow, maybe they fog the window up after a minute?
- An area for sims to take off their shoes when the walk into their house. Random shoes 'populate' there, like the presents in the gift pile or laundry, the more sims come in the house. Can end up as a pile of shoes or maybe they can be in a shoe rack?
- Sims can sweep their house, or vacuum their house for an "extra clean" moodlet, no need for dirt piles anywhere, just 'cause
- Sims who are sleepy while on the computer can "pass out" at the desk and slam their head on the keyboard, waking themselves up and canceling the computer actions
- Sims can eat/drink while at the computer desk
- Sims in a living chair, on the couch, or in the bed should be able to sit with their pets on their laps or next to them (with their heads in the sims lap for Big Dogs - though big dogs should be able to squish a sim all the same honestly).
- Cats should be able to stand in front of computer screens and be In The Way while the sim shoos them
- Big dogs should be able to lean on, or bump sims around for attention, little dogs should stand on their hind legs and paw at sims for attention. Kittens can scale up the side of a sim
- Sims who are reading at a table should be able to put their head in one hand and lean into it while reading
... and many more, but I'd love to hear your ideas!
