Adding a singing career wouldn't have made any difference. Players seem to have forgotten that there is an Entertainer career for music or comedy and that CL gave us the singing skill. So why bother adding a singing career when players obviously aren't using what they have already given us. I think acting only was the best way to go.

because its a boring regular career for jokes, and the singing skill does not have a proper active career. singing in the past as always had some form of a active career!

Your sim could already earn money from singing without a career by busking and writing music. Now, they'll get famous for it. And a career can be added anytime, even in an SP with a recording studio venue and concert venue which, being in their own separate pack, will get more detailed attention than shoving it in with acting.

I want a singing career too. But I want it fully fleshed out with all the perks and objects that it should have. No "we didn't have room for....." whatever excuse. I want a kind of old and cheap rundown recording studio where your sim go after busking for enough tips to pay to record a song or two. I also want a super nice, new and shiny recording studio for successful professionals to go to record music or voice overs or ads for products or voices for a cartoon.

I also want bands and I want them done better than in S3 because my band almost never got a gig and when they did, it wan't very successful. But I also want more than rock/country bands, I wand a small orchestra that plays the classics with a conductor in a concert venue. Or, I just could hire a harpist to play at my fancy, formal dinner party.

There are a lot of things I want in a singing/band pack that could have possibly fit in with all the acting stuff. And I don't want either to be watered down so they both fit into one EP. Then, some want modeling thrown in also. More watering down. No thanks. Separate packs, all well done please.

And remember, S3 had three vacations with exploring, we got one, a good one, well done IMO, but only one nonetheless. Get Famous is being done the same way. Divide and improve for a better version of the sims. I just don't want too much shoved together to the point that all the themes are bad.
