Although there was once when by mistake EA issues sim points over for the base game and WA if you owned them and they were installed right after they switched us over to Origin - as everyone was afraid to use them and started going enmasse onto the forums over the free points. EA admitted it was definitely in error - but let us keep the extra points - just people who had not gotten them yet - didn't get them - but they were not a courtesy for buying any ep like the first game and WA game was.

Okay, but first let me apologize for derailing the thread. But... Just recently, like in the past month or two, I started playing S3 again when I was upset about the very thing this thread is about. When I started playing again, I checked on My Page in the Sims 3 store, there was a little thing right there under my profile pic, that said click here to redeem your points (or something like that). I clicked and got 1000 points. I went to another page and came back to My Page and it was there again. I click again and get another 1000 points. So I start thinking hmmm, that might be for the last 2 expansions I bought (which I think were Showtime and Late Night) because I didn't check my page much after I bought those (which was in 2014) mainly because I stopped playing all sims until I saw the S4 basegame on sale for under $10. So anyway, I partly bought Pets hoping I would get another 1000 points. Remember this was just a few weeks ago. I kept checking My Page and it didn't show up at first, but when the icon for Pets finally lit up, I also got another 1000 points.
Good luck on them getting it back. I think I'll go spend what I have left over in case they take that.
But anyway, yes, I'm, terribly upset with how they're breaking up stuff in S4.
