You never know. Perhaps they will do yet another reboot for Sims 5 and try again - especially seeing many simmers have issues with this direction anyway - but whether or not it goes along with what people have said - we won't really know until that time comes I guess.
Even if I can now enjoy this game - I definitely would not object to them going back to the drawing board and trying something else - especially if a new direction did not turn my mouth like swallowing a bitter pill for the first almost 3 years of the game. So I do understand your frustrations and others even if I am indifferent to this present issue myself. They need to remember the builders and world creators too in what ever they do.
I'd love nothing better to see all simmers Happy simmers.
