I would rather see it die than keep going the route it currently is. Everything that I loved about the series is gone...officially ruined when TS4 emerged. I don't see EA changing it's ways. Even though I had stopped financially supporting this game...a part of me was hoping they would care enough to go back to the drawing board and try again. At this point...I hope they let it die along side SimCity 2013.
I just don't think EA has it in them to really produce a sims game that is competitive with the current games of today and tomorrow, that have incredible graphics, gameplay, and a higher standard of computer specs required to play the game. I don't think EA really wants to give the fanbase that kind of game either. Like I said in an earlier post....I just don't think EA can do it. It's too easy for them to keep following their set formula... and for that.....I'm not paying for. Nor would I encourage others to open their wallets to that kind of business practice either.
but for those who see nothing wrong with it, and like the game as it is. I guess happy simming. I really do implore you to expect more than what you are paying for. If you don't raise the bar of expectation, EA will never rise to it.
Even though I understand you very well I can’t agree with you. I don’t play TS4 anymore either. But:
1. EA is a very competent company that has the most skilled developers, the best equipment, the best development tool and the best technology. So EA can make anything that EA wants to make.
2. The reason why the game is going in this direction isn’t IMO EA but the main customers for the Sims games who just buy anything and instead of a deeper and more challenging game just asks for things to become even easier and for more stuff. EA just makes the game for the biggest group of simmers who according to EA are very young girls.
It just isn’t EA’s fault that SPs now are selling better than EPs and we shouldn’t expect EA to still focus on big EPs when they don’t sell as well as earlier anymore.
