No cc or mod's in the only save I have been playing for now 5 years or more? I think it's best to understand exactly what I think cc and mod's are. So that what I write is not misinterpreted, here's is my understanding of both.
Custom Content (CC): Refers to new, player-made items like clothing, hair, makeup, furniture, and objects. CC adds visual variety to the game without changing its core mechanics.
Game Mods (or Script Mods): Are files that change or add to the functionality of the game itself. This can include new traits, different console cheats, or entirely new features like a better school system for child Sims.
IMO - Mods do change the core mechanics of the game; IMO the only difference that I am aware of between a mod and a bot is their purpose and how they function. 😃 If I am incorrect - please feel free to correct me!!!!!!! 😃
I did use cc with my game long long ago, until I got a corrupted cc in my game that quite literally spread like a trojan horse! It only affected my game; I was grateful it did not affect my entire PC, though the potential was indeed there. There is absolutely no way to know if someone who creates the cc, is legitimate or if they are a hacker. Mod's are the most dangerous between the 2 as they are scripted.
If you want to use CC and Mod's, well, that is your choice but do yourself a favor, make sure your sources are credible and safe. As for me. it was a lesson harshly learned.
as for DLC - I get what I am interested in, if I can.
