@mimilu04 I have always liked the idea of re-visiting old expansion packs and adding new features to them via player feedback. Burglars could easily be added into Get to Work, as could the Freeplay-esque branches of the Law and Medical careers. (as examples) The Sims 3 did this on two occasions that currently come to mind: Ambitions revamped the base Medical career, making it more eventful and challenging to play. Supernatural added improvements to both Ghosts and Vampires - and offered the inclusion of vampires to those who didn't own Late Night.
In this digital age, there's no reason to abandon a product just because it was released some years prior. Why not improve what we already have?
Now... concerning better emotions and the like, I think the big problem with TS4 personality is that three traits are trying to do the same job as TS3 5 traits, TS2 personality, and TS1 interests all in one. That's just not feasible. If traits were say focused on emotions, and both personality points and interests were included as co-aspects of Simology, it would allow each aspect to shine in what they do best. If that means revamping the game, EA did this before with careers twice, and added toddlers.
I'm glad EA does these surveys. Maybe they mean something, and maybe they don't, but I want the game to continually improve. I paid good money for this game (just like we all have) and I'd rather see EA fix and continue to improve something tangible than wait for The Sims 5. After all, when TS3 was ending, we were all hyped for TS4.
