Astronomically Expensive Bills

The family I'm currently playing live in a very nice house, and I just got their bills, and they're 52,647 simoleons! Has anyone else ever seen something like this? I've had sims pay bills in this gam...

Are the household members' inventories full? Items in their personal inventory and family inventory are added into their bills.
