At what cost for Free Babies?

My main save has been re-saved many times since 2014, so I don’t want my main rotational save broken. However, I don’t care if the baby object disappears ( is deleted )…..I play my game with aging off most of the time and I can either age the babies up to toddler before the patch, or I can just let the baby disappear and have my families create a new baby. I also don’t care if the baby stays an object baby for a few hours and then turns into a real baby. But I don’t want my existing rotational save broken because I have put many many hours into my rotational save in the form of relationships and builds.. If toddlers didn’t break my save, and adding objects don’t break my save, I fail to see how deleting a baby would break my save, But, one reason I don’t use mods is because I certainly don’t know much about computers, even though I had to use basic on the first computer I owned. If the sims team can’t make babies real, without breaking saves, why don’t they come flat out an tell us, rather than letting us think it is a possibility? And by the way….. I am one of those who really, really wants real babies that we can do things with. Playing with aging off most of the time means my babies are around for a long time.
