Seasons only just came out! On average, there is about 4.5 months between packs (I mean GPs and EPs, I am not including SPs). We will probably get a new EP or GP in November or December, in line with that.
I’d rather they took their time and did things properly.
That’s true, but comparing to ts2 and ts3, we had 8 expansion in 4 years for 2 and 10 expansions in 4 years for 3. For ts4 we only have 5 expansions at 4 years.
It seems that they aren’t really trying to put out content when compared to the other sims games.
I don’t think you should dismiss game packs. I have found those to be just as good as, if not better than, the expansions in most cases. We have had 11 packs if you count expansion packs and game packs:
Outdoor retreat: 1/2015
Get to work: 3/2015 (2 months since previous pack)
Spa Day: 7/2015 (4 months since previous pack)
Get together: 8/2015 (1 month since previous pack)
Dine out: 6/2016 (10 months since previous pack)
City Living: 11/2016 (5 months since previous pack)
Vampires: 1/2017 (2 months since previous pack)
Parenthood: 5/2017 (4 months since previous pack)
Cats and dogs: 11/2017 (6 months since previous pack)
Jungle adventure: 2/2018 (3 months since previous pack)
Seasons: 6/2018 (4 months since previous pack)"KirbySkywalker;c-16662014" wrote:
Did you play ts3? Packs like laundry day were included in the expansion packs. Vampires was included in late night. TS3 Pets included small pets, they weren’t added by a separate pack. Toddler stuff was included in generations, and so on.
I agree, I have been disappointed in some of the things which were not included in packs for TS4. I’d have liked to have seen small pets in the Cats and Dogs pack, for example. I have to say that I did appreciate having an entirely separate vampire game pack, though. The vampires in TS3 were just dreadful because they were an after thought to Late Nights. Now that they are the focus of their own pack in TS4 they are brilliant.
Good points here, Maggie, makes me think my irl agoraphobia is affecting my sims 4 content feelings. In ts3 there was like a billion objects to play with at my home lot mansion I built with money earned from hiding in a corner and painting.
Also since it was an open world I could peak out the window on occasion and see something going on that was interesting enough to lure me outside, or just stare at it safely from the comfortable side of my window glass.
Outdoor retreat, dine out, jungle adventures... that’s all stuff I need to leave home to experience. Guess I need to get out of the house more.
In ts3 I had every wacky thing from every career in my house to play with, a ton of interactive objects from the online store, 1 of each occult for interesting interactions, and a ton of little things TS4 leaves out like chairs that you sunbathe in as an example. There is many more but I don’t feel I need to list them all here.
So I do feel content is lacking in TS4 compared to TS3 but you made me realize there is quite a few things the team has made us that I haven’t fully experienced yet.
