I never expected them to add anything for general romance or any type of attraction system.
This is TS4.
The theme for this pack was weddings .... they do not ever go over and above nor stray far from their themes. Tunnel vision ..... they focus on the theme and ONLY put things related to that in it. TS4 is not like the past games that had a general theme for a pack but also included things that could be used outside of that theme and incorporating pack items/gameplay into every day game play thus making it much more useful.
If we weren't getting a new world with this pack, it's one I would have skipped because I don't do weddings in my game. I play one household per save and my couples were married in CAS when I created them, so weddings mean nothing to me, but I sure could have found plenty of use for general romance and a "committed" trait.
Yeah, what I find sad though is that it feels like the marketing team wants this, or tries to sell us this.
When I saw those two sims proposing in the beginning of the trailer, but later it turned out that they liked completely different things, I wondered if this was just trailer magic or if there would be a base game update where we could see in game how much sims liked each other.
I decided it was probably trailer magic and sadly, turns out that was the case.
I had hoped that I was wrong, because before Dream Home Decorator we got Likes/Dislikes, and that was also showcased in their trailer. So I thought that they would patch in an attraction system before this pack.
