They haven't said anything about the 8th anniversary but your right if we get the patch the 30th it could include a 8th anniversary surprise or they could drop an SDX for that.

I'm hoping the patch fixes fire extinguishing cause it's broken. Sims refuse to extinguish fires they just run away. The fire department is the only way you can get fires put out now.

One of my Sims put out a fire, but maybe it was because his daughter was the one on fire.

In the Goth household no one put fires out just ran outside.
In StrangerVille Alice Martin did extinguish a fire but not Thomas Watson.
Maybe only some Sims are affected or there’s been tuning as to who will approach fires? ???‍♂️

I thought fire fighters were meant to do a dance afterwards? Mine just leave.

Do the sims that refuse to fight fires have a Fear of Fires? I've heard that makes them unable to extinguish fires.

I noticed an old bug, Sims getting stuck on top of furniture. Something I really don't mind since I find it funny no matter how many time it appears
