August Patch Speculation Thread 2023 (Patch is Live)
I think the August Patch will be small. If I had to guess about fixes it would probably be the one they recently had to delay. I forgot which one it was.

- Don't rule out a 2nd Patch this month especially with 2 Kits releasing. A patch is needed to prepare for kits and I don't think this patch did that.
- Still, I didn't read anywhere we'll be getting these two Kits in August, not in September. The current roadmap does cover the timespan until September.
- I thought the patch for this season was covered with the ceilings texture. Huge improvement to the game makes a world of difference as I like to play as first person and I love taking interior screenshots on my interior renovations as DHD.

They'll have to have another patch this month if the Kits are releasing.- EDIT: Got in touch with EA Help and it seems that a lot of players are affected by this problem.
Maybe we are getting a new patch today.

Same problem here (France) since 2PM as well.- Same happening in the UK for me 2PM UK time.

Patch is NOT live. Don't click Update. Just wait till the EA App bug is fixed. EA knows about the problem and is working on a fix. Active bugs thread is at https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports-Technical-Issues/Cannot-download-The-Sims-4/td-p/12866104/page/20.

It would put you in a very annoying update loop. If you really, really want to launch instead of going to get chores done or whatever, there's a complex workaround now pinned at the top of that AHQ post.
