I don't like full autonomy because my currently selected sim would constantly cancel their actions to do mundane things like getting water from the sink, but I don't like autonomy completely disabled either because there are usually some sims in a family I don't really care about and don't want to micromanage constantly. Thus I have autonomy off for selected sim only, so I can direct them to do something without them constantly cancelling their actions or jumping to the next action right after. To me, it's definitely less frustrating to play that way.
