It COULD happen. Never say won't because as we saw with toddlers, it's about attention/media/outcry. If EA see it getting enough media/social attention then they'll look into it and possibly patch/pack it in.
I love all of your ideas, a baby swing would probably apply more to toddlers but the build your own crib is a must, especially for low budget homes and your sim has a worktable. OR it could be a buy-able set and or perhaps given to new parents via just coming to town or being VERY low in the budget category. I.E: Your family is poor, the council send them a good gesture gifts for their infant and helps you build handiness in the long run.
Baby showers! I am dying for them to finally appear in the sims series! Imagine your sim being the honourable guest at a party and next to them is a table full of presents! These have to be done by locals or by your sim if a neighbour/friend/sibling is expecting, but you receive food, gifts varying from toys for the baby to small appliances for the parents and so on. Sims can also give you letters of money and maybe a secret family member can send you a "Luck tree", possible new item that can grow food, money or a rare and maybe dangerous item!
And strollers, yes, a million times yes. I'd say a buggy for babies and stroller for toddler, maybe with a step on the back for lazy children to ride because we've all been that kid at some point trying to steal our siblings ride because we just don't wanna walk anymore
I hope they do. And they bring back baby monitor, changing tables, playpens (to keep my toddlers from wandering outside when i'm not looking), rocking chair, portable teddybears, and maybe diaper bags.
