I've gone through all my script and tuning mods and found, after all that, it was only 2 small scripts causing me this trouble! One of the mods, I hadn't even used yet. I've never had just one simple mod disrupt a game as badly as this--to stop gameplay cold. 😒
But the good news is my game is running great now. Smooth, no issues, and no error messages. Maybe I should do game repairs and fresh installs more often! 😬 Onward and upward. 🙂
Would you mind sharuing what mod it was? Many mods go bad after a few patches, so I don't think it would be in any disgrace to the creator. But might save other simmers lots of time in case they have the same mod.
I have very limited scripted mods and have them saved separately in my mods folder, making it easier to check them whenever there is problems in paradise. It's not very long since I had to do the 50/50 through all of my vaste amount of mods, and it was only in the very last bunch tested that I found the culprit. IIRC the creator had uploaded a better version ages ago.
I think patches requires too muc extra work, LOL. I wait with the August patch, but I did update my game just before it, and now SimStudio needs a new version - again. Probably due to CAS settings. I updated it a few weeks ago... phew. So, I'll probably hold back a couple months before I patch the game again.
