Pictures already on the walls before January's update are still black after this second update for me.
I don't think pictures ever recover once they become black.
So i have to dispose of these pictures that have been on the wall for almost 20 sim years now? I'm lucky i'm one who takes a load of screenshots during game play. A lot of these are sentimental photos like child's first day at school etc. I guess i'm going to have to do a lot of making CC photos then.
Last time they had this issue, the photos didn't recover so I don't think they will recover this time either.
So sorry for your loss, knowng your save is pretty old.
In my game I normally keep the photos organized in folders, like a back up stored outside the game. You know, there will be copies in the Screenshot folder. I mostly keep them for possible use in future articles on my blog, but I realize they might also come handy if I experience a bug like the black photo bug.
