Base Game Update Feb 3rd

Loving the look of those stairs, was looking forward to placing them in my mansion. Unfortunately I just rage-quit as they refuse to place with any level of flaring no matter what I do (even with moveobjects applied). 

My existing x3 wide staircase is just fine, without cheats, but try to add any level of flaring and I get "can't intersect with walls", even though the stairs are in a huge open space with no walls anywhere other than the one they connect to at the top end. No idea why flared stairs should require more space at the top given the shape at that end does not change at all. Pretty disappointed I can't use them.

The image shows where I am trying to place my main stairs; even though the stairs will place in the same location (but going from right by the front door to intersect the roof above) quite happily, they refuse to join with the actual landing for some reason. Infuriating.
