What's the point of a playground lot when the basegame only has 3 pieces of playground equipment, and 2 or them are just reskins of each other? Even worse, the game requires you to have 6 pieces of equipment, so you'll need to double up. Honestly, what's even the point of lot requirements anymore these days? Heck, what's even the point of a playground lot type, when you could have just retooled the already-existing Park lot type? Even the blog and the game itself point out how there only big difference is that kids come more often to the playground. But like? Just change the Park lot a little and it still makes perfect sense, since the vast majority of people going to parks are parents and kids anyway. It's not like the Playground excludes single adults or couples or anything.
Ngl, I'm disappointed. I get that the new pack must have taken A LOT of time and resources to make. I kind of expected this since we got no news about a gameplay update, like we normally do. But we almost never get notable gameplay updates anymore, unless they're leftovers/attached to upcoming pack gameplay. What do we get? A lot type that's just a tweaked version of the Park lot type that doesn't even make sense unless you buy Adventure Awaits. A basinet that we should have gotten 6 years ago. A swatch for one hat. A helpful but ultimately minor UI update. Play pretend is a cute interaction, though not nearly as major as most updates in the past.
