simgirl1010​ With animal aging turned off, I also just had a chicken die tonight. But did the same as you. I quit without saving and added back Simularity's mod: Simularity - No Dying Livestock 

In that same save, I also had my 3 raccoons get the black meshes issue. This was a save I last played on July 2, so just after the patch, and didn't have problems at that time.

I am so tired of trying to fix my game instead of EA fixing it! 😒
