@Tantalus i'm decided for the gtx. I wouldn't call people brainless thought. The fact that i don't know more about pcs maybe means i know a lot more about other areas of knowledge...? ?♀️
Erm, nooo i wasnt implying you are brainless, in fact, you asked, many people wont, and they will directly to buy the most expensive card they can find, believing thats what they need, when its not."Goldmoldar;c-17810362" wrote:
but if you play or plan on playing other games other than Sims 4 than the 2060 is an better buy.
Shadow casting today is completely terrible. Most games have many many problems with shadows, and the "fix" nvidia came out with was, to release another hyper expensive card line with a completely re-made shadow system. Ridiculous.
Nop. lol not a single game requires raytracing, as i said, im not sure about the 1650, but the 1660 ti can run every single game on ultra without sweat on 1080p. It even could run cyberpunk 2077 better than most cards when it was released lol, at least before they "tried" to fix the poorly optimization of the game. The problem is not raytracing, the jump comes when you want to play on "expensive" resolutions, aka 4k."Brd709;c-17810710" wrote:
I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 at the beginning of this month with a Ryzen 4800 processor and the Nvidia 2060 RTX with dedicated 6GB Memory and 16GB Memory. I have all the expansion packs and Dine Out and all run fine. No crashes so far!
It will be laughable if you couldnt run the game on ultra. When you dont even need 1/10 of that card power to play the game on ultra... as i was saying... and btw, the 2060 RTX only have 6gb dedicated memory?? o.O lol, better a 1660 gtx with 8gb...- Brd709Seasoned Veteran

The game runs on ultra settings with the 2060 RTX and a GPU temperature of 60 degrees Celsius while playing the game. Maximum ram being used as I have the game open at the moment is 8GB out of 16GB and only this browser window open. - Thank you all for your insights. It was really helpful. I've just ordered my new laptop. It'll arrive between next tuesday and thursday :)
Specs:
ryzen 7 4800
2x8gb RAM
512 SSD
Nvidia geforce gtx 1650ti
