Best packs for the Sims 4

Hi!

I'm curious to know what are your must have extension packs/game packs/stuff packs.

Which ones bring the most to the game?

Mines would be:

Seasons

Parenthood

Vintage glamour

Thanks!!

Redrogue60 I agree. I'm very excited to see how Enchanted By Nature compliments the Cottage Living and Horse Ranch packs. I play in Henford-on-Bagley more often than Chestnut Ridge (though both more often than others!) and am looking forward to another green world.

  • I might have to amend my list to:

    • Enchanted by Nature
    • Realm of Magic
    • Crystal Creations

And double down on magic and nature but definitely honorable mentions of Cottage Life and Paranormal.

  • maude11t For me, it would be:

    • Expansion Pack - Cottage Living, hands down. Henford-on-Bagley is my most-used world, and I need the Simple Living Lot Trait, oversized crops, and milk and eggs. (Runners Up: Horse Ranch, Growing Together)
    • Game Pack - Dream Home Decorator, not for the gameplay but for the Build/Buy. I use at least one of the cupboards, doors, stools, or couches in every build. (Runner Up: Outdoor Retreat, and I'd probably buy Spa Day again - on sale - just for the Yoga Skill)
    • Stuff Pack - Home Chef Hustle, because I can't live without the kitchen. Also, the small appliances and the selling table that lets you sell portions of meals really add to my Simple Living gameplay, as above. (Runners Up: Tiny Living is a very close second, for the Tiny House Residential Lot Trait and its perks, then Crystal Creations, Paranormal, Nifty Knitting)
    • Kit - Greenhouse Haven, for the windows and doors. I'm not sure yet if this recent base game update will change my answer here; I haven't played with the new glass wallpapers yet. (Runners Up: Blooming Rooms, Sleek Bathroom, Cosy Kitsch)
  • It's always been so difficult for me to choose one of each category because I love all things Occult, supernatural, sci-fi, and weird. So that means leaving out a ton of packs, lol. I also really love creating Sims and their background stories so giving up anything would mean fewer CAS assets to play with. BUT. Nowadays I know what I'd ultimately go with if I HAD to choose just one from each, because there's a complete theme:

    EP - Life and Death
    GP - Vampires
    SP - Paranormal
    Kit - Goth Galore

'Ol Grim would be so proud! 🖤

  • for me

    EP: seasons.
and HOT TAKE-high school years, idk it added so much to the game for me

GP:SUPER HOT TAKE/ my wedding stories. i can count on ONE HAND the number of times i've had a problem with it. but i also didn't buy it until like a year after it came out

    SP: laudry day

    Kit:
    Comfy Gamer
party essentials (I USE THIS KIT SOOOO MUCH)

  • Thank you for everyone's opinion so I have many stuff packs most of what u said to get but unsure what my next should be cant decide

I love Cottage Living, I truly do but I have a couple of beefs with it. Besides what came in it for the price

    1. I would have done sheep not llamas because it is set in what is basically the Cotswolds and that is their wooly guys
    2. llamas I would have put in Jungle Living because llamas are native to South America
    3. They forgot to add Elderberry & Huckleberry from Outdoor Retreat to the list of Jams & Jellies
    4. Things I would have added to the pack not included
      1. Rambling - Name for Hiking in the UK and I would have made it a thing in Hensford
      2. Pickles to Canning and Cucumbers and Dill to Harvestables
      3. Bird Watching like in Sims 2 - Really not a lot to it but fits in this place
      4. Farmers Market or a traditional Grocery Store
      5. More cutely named British Food
        1. Eton Mess
        2. Toad in the Hole
        3. Lancashire Hot Pot
        4. Bubble & Squeak
        5. Irish Stew
        6. Full English Breakfast
        7. Ploughman's Lunch
      6. The Pool Table & Accessories for the Pub
      7. A cute Cotswolds Church where Bell Ringing was an activity
      8. I would have maybe gone onto Fairfax & Favor and copied one of their ladies capes for Outerwear
  • I like when a thread like this pops up every now and then because I play packs rotationally so I'm always finding new stuff to explore.

EP: Cottage Living - There's just so much packed into it. The different festivals every week, the Simple Living lot challenge, and the Henford favours that unlock various gifts. I haven't played with that feature much, but I do love it.

GP: Realm Of Magic - The possibilities with the spells are really creative. I especially love Copy-Pasto and Burgliate (used together for when I want something but don't want to just straight up steal). I do feel a little bummed out that we can't use spells on children and animals, especially Scruberoo.

SP: Home Chef Hustle - The prepped ingredients tie in perfectly with Cottage Living and the variety of recipes to make on the variety of appliances is super fun.

KIT: Blooming Rooms - I just love greenery decor, especially the ivy window drapery 😍
