I know I'll be using Forgotten Hollow for some Vampire intrigue, I already have a story going in that direction with Vlad vs Dracula. Vlad wants his vampire progeny, Bella Goth, to be acting queen with him as her advisor, controlling from the shadows, but Dracula has a large household and wants to dominate the region because he's a control and power freak. Looking forward to playing it out. 🖤
Definitely Windenburg because it just seems perfect. I wish we could make that top lot residential though, it would be amazing to revitalize the castle, ghosts and all. I have a household that I made way back when Get Together came out that has two Windenburg knights and two high Ladies and they live in a castle. I think I'll have to tweak the household a little bit to update them, but it will give me a good reason to play them now. One of the knights has secretly fathered a Werewolf.
But I think Windenburg Isle might have to be an independent kingdom, or contested rule. It's been emptied recently after Enchanted by Nature came out and I moved my fairies to their own world, but I think I'd like to do something unusual with that area. Maybe a secret Spellcaster region, who practice very old magic and traditions, some controversial, secretive even to the Magic Realm. I do already have a Sorcerer living in Windenberg, so I could move him over and rebuild there.
Innisgreen will be tricky for me only because I already have a few different types of Fae royalty, so not sure how the new features will let me assign titles. I have an Elf queen of her realm, a king of the Woodland Realm, the Fairy queen, and a Goblin hierarchy. I have Elf emissaries and consorts, Fairy warriors, goblin prisoner slaves and independents, a goblin Changeling business group that works with the kingdoms independently for proper child-swapping, and I have some Unseelie rebels. Really hoping this pack helps me sort it all out properly.
I think Ravenwood would be a great gloomy kingdom, stagnating under a curse, like a Grimm fairy tale. I'll be throwing this idea around in my head for a bit, deciding how I want to go about it. I'd like the nobility to be dead, with their cursed legacy capturing the whole town in an endless loop. Maybe I'll give all of the residents the "Chased by Death" trait. Exciting!
Henford seems like a good place for a simpler kingdom, or one where the commoners are forced to live humbler lives because the oppressive ruler is greedy and keeps raising taxes and making trouble (kind of like in the story of Robin Hood). Material possessions are scant and they must live off the land, working hard under exhaustion, hoping for someone to lead them to rebellion. I currently have twin Spellcaster sisters living there, descended from a well-to-do magical family and one of them isn't very nice, kind of selfish and arrogant and hates her sister out of jealousy, so maybe I'll make them true nobility.
Then of course there's Ondarion (LOVE the name) where I'll be playing in Dambele with my Egyptians, who will be challenging the current family for control.
Meanwhile, for Verdemar, I'm tentatively planning a chaotic pirate struggle for hierarchy that could be quite scrappy and scandalous.
That's a lot, I know. But I play a lot of Sims, lol.
