- DaWaterRat5 years agoSeasoned AceThey must, though I'm not sure how the number is calculated. I had several dozen expensive flowers (among other things) in my personal inventory, and several specialty eggs. Sold them all at the flower shop and my bills went down by almost 40% - not quite a thousand to just shy of 600 - between the two weeks.
- Bills are calculated by lot value and inventory for the most part though there is a minor power and water tax
The more you own both in the home, on the land, personal inventory and household inventory will determine the bill amount
If they get suddenly high, check the personal and household inventories for items that may have gone there from job promotions, findings such as treasure in the jungle or even date rewards.
If it counts items in the fridge or not, I'm not sure but wouldn't be shocked. If anything has a monetary value it is going to be taxed. - thanks for the replies, you are all right. My Sim is a horder and I have to stop that. I also reduced her cash on hand by making a bank for it. Cleaned out the inventories and Bills are down a third and I can live with that.
