I'm really enjoying this event as well. And are grateful that it last 6 weeks since I'm gonna be travelling for 3 of those weeks without being able to play the game. I would have hated to miss out on all the amazing event rewards!
Side note: If you use mods like MCCC or anything else that controls townie spawning, your Emit might end up looking completely different. I had the MCCC setting where you control that new Sims all are imported from Saved Tray Sims set to 100, so my Emit was some random looking tray sim, not the one depicted in the promos.
