Just finished the whole event, a few nice items but overall I feel it is a bit disappointing. Way too much filler items like potions, a few simoleons and such in the rewards.
It is also a pity the time traveller's outfit is very different from the one in Sims 3, and I would like to see it have more swatches. Like a cool black one with red lights, for a more evil/goth vibe.
I do like that sims can hide in the cake, the dance is a bit underwhelming when they come out, pretty short compared to sims 1 though I am alright with it not being a sexy dance I suppose, but I would like to see more options with the cake. Like sims being able to pull a prank on someone in the cake, it also being usable for other festivities than a birthday and such.
The buffet table, retro music and dance floor are to me the highlights of the event, great additions. I like the classic floors too, both are good options to have, especially with the added swatches.
Personally I don't care for the collectible milk packages, I did not care for the collectible sets in previous themes either but I guess other folks might like them.
The aspiration with one tier is a bit disappointing, though still a nice extra option and does fit with the burglar being added now.
The inflatable furniture I never used back then either, but still it's an alright addition I might find a use for.
Nina Caliente's dress is a bit of an odd addition, not unwelcome don't get me wrong. Just not exactly a super memorable or iconic outfit compared to the full history of the sims. Could have been great as like, part of more outfits strewn through the event though, to replace the filler. We have a sims 2 and sims 3 outfit in the event, adding a sims 1 and sims medieval outfit to it could have completed it.
The event itself started out nice with the mystery, but I feel like the conclusion was disappointing. I had hoped to actually see the thief, know their identity and it being someone more nefarious. It could maybe have been nice if the conclusion lead to a surprise reward not listed. Like, the thief could have been a familiar NPC of a past game, and completing the event unlocks their outfit. Like it could have been the sneaky sim from Sims 1, with his burglar outfit unlocking. Would have been the perfect lead up to the burglar now added to the game.
Just my two cents of course on the event. As a side note, the halloween time event was bugged for me, is there any chance to get those rewards? It just did not show up for me after the first two weeks or such, I wanted to complete it but couldn't. And that event had some nice items later on in it.

I think the thief is the burglar NPC, Robin Banks, from yesterday's patch. 😁
