Bob and Eliza Pancakes

Admit it. They're so fascinating. Right? Or is it just me? I'm really curious about what has happened to this couple in your game?

Mine resolved any marital problems suggested in their bio, and have a beautiful little red-haired toddler girl named Annie. Annie Pancakes is so adorable. She's the cutest toddler I've ever seen. Bob is a Freelance Digital Artist and Eliza works in the Environmental Conservation career. I also cheated a little and swapped out some of their traits.

I just learned today that they are inspired by the Bob and Betty Newbie family in Sims 1.

So what's happened to your Pancakes family?

  • I've been playing lately in a world populated by Sims my daughter and I have created or pulled from the Gallery, so Bob and Eliza aren't in the picture.

When I play a save with the premades, I see Eliza every time my Sim goes to the gym or a club. She's often in a Flirty mood. Bob emerges much less often. Once, when my Sim moved into a house near theirs, Bob and Eliza came over with the Welcome Wagon. Bob arrived in a terrible mood, ate food from my fridge, took a bath in my tub, and returned to the party wearing a towel. He farted loudly, said goodbye, and left, still wearing one of my Sim's towels.
  • @ignominiusrex She does indeed have to be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral. :joy: I am very calm, happy and peaceful when I play, but my Sims are sometimes a bit of a reality show for sure lol.

@jpajari I think I'm going to add Butter to one of my households too. I think it is the cutest name for a golden dog. Re-imagining the Sims in a new save is a really cool idea. How do you do this? I noticed they look a little cuter in your picture. Do you keep their personality the same?

@MoonlightGraham Oh wow, I've never seen Eliza flirty, not even towards Bob. That Bob is quite terrible in your game lol. Actually, I always change his traits so his behavior is much improved in my game. He's a really good Dad in my game because Eliza is too focused on her career. I remembered that you play with your daughter. Are you still writing stories for the households too?
  • @Elliandre Z and I are definitely interested in continuing to write for the forum here. We're taking a break from our "story save" while we learn more about MCCC and explore some new content; we don't want to risk messing up the "story save" while we try different things. One or two of the "experiments" are fun enough that they might inspire a story or two. Thank you for asking!

@MoonlightGraham I usually check the story section for things to read so I will keep an eye out for anything new.

@Elliandre I love that! Trust me, you won't regret adding Butter into your game.

When I re-imagined my Sims game, I replaced all EA lots with lots from the gallery. I try to stick with about 5 builders just to keep things consistent. For example, I use a lot of Simlicy's builds. Then I went through and gave some of the more iconic sims makeovers to fit my sims style. That's why my Pancakes family may look different from yours. I did play around with genetics, but for the most part, all personalities are the same or enhanced with character value traits and/or reward traits.

The only family that I did a complete 180 with is the Landgraabs. I liked the story from the Sims 3 better, so in my game, their traits, careers, etc. have been completely altered. Now Geoffrey is a doctor, Nancy is a high-maintenance CEO, and Malcolm's personality is a mix of "frat-boy" and "Gen Z influencer." Those terms are in no way intended to be offensive, btw. Honestly, it's kind of fun!
