I think they’re finally making these little changes because EA is finally letting Maxis do what they want to an extent. We have no idea of the gurus have wanted to fix it but weren’t allowed to.
I'd have to wonder though, why would EA not let them fix traits? "Gordy;c-17842317" wrote:

Tight purse strings would be my guess. ;)- AquaGamer12124 years agoNew Spectator

Why wouldn’t EA let them fix a lot of the problems with the game? My guess is that to them it’s not a priority since enough people are still playing regardless. - amapola764 years agoSeasoned Hotshot

There's other things in game that I feel some sims should get fun from but they don't. I still can't get over how sims don't find magic fun.
Wow....I didn't realize that.
Is painting considered fun?
I think it is but it’s limited to creative sims.
Ah ok, that's fair.
I wonder if there are any other traits where the sims doesn't receive extra enjoyment when they should.
I've never understood why gardening doesn't provide entertainment in TS4. It always did in previous iterations of the game, aside from the fact that it's, you know, fun (at least for those of us who willingly choose to do it) in real life. - marea_a_moon4 years agoNew Spectator

I have an evil club with "be mean" as an activity and I can set off a gathering and witness no mean interactions.
I think it might be because the clubs are bugged in this senario. I had a kintting club but my sim is the only one who does the assigned activity during club gatherings, same with my spellcasters club. I hope they tackle this bug next because it makes clubs kinda useless. It was reported by a few other simmers as well. "Amapola76;c-17842397" wrote:

It seems like "Loves the Outdoors" trait should make Gardening fun?"bixters;c-17842416" wrote:

You would think so, but no.
After a Super Green Thumb interacts with a Plant, it will stay watered longer, get less bugs, and an increased growth rate. This means you will harvest more from your Gardening efforts and not need to interact with Plants as often. This doesn't affect Evolution rate or growth of Weeds, however.- janyses4 years agoNew Observer

I also have a knitting club, and what I did was gift knitting baskets to all the members so they'd have one in inventory. It worked, but they rarely knit...
