Build mode on career venues?

I started playing with the scientist career today and saw that there was an option to build/buy on the lot. I didnt put any cheats in so I assumed this was just a glitch.

how do you disable it?

@domokun2345 You don't need the cheat for the science lab, you can always go to build mode. I think this is related to the nature of the work as a scientist. Your sim creates lots of stuff and while you can move it around in live mode, build mode may be more convenient. Also, once you get the simray, you have to transform objects (usually barrels). If you have to do a lot of this you will run out, so build mode is freely available to ensure you have enough barrels.

@KateLovesYou2 It's automatically disabled the next time you load the lot. So the next day at work or returning from a house call or crime scene.

What? Not sure what you mean @MDianaSanders ? I am in the science career and the tasks have never asked me to transform barrels. The only tasks I have had (and I thought I was pretty high in the career), have been to transform a coworker. Do you mean that one Can buy barrels to transform, if they wish?

I was asked to transform barrels as soon as I upgraded my SimRay with the Transform (objects) option. It was pretty early in the career.
