Bulldoze the museum in DSV

I don't think so. I've been really holding on to EA lots but yesterday I bulldozed the one in willow creek and build a pool.

Aaand the most useless lot type strikes again...

The only museum I actually use is the one in Willow Creek, which I renamed "Museum of Emotions" and redecorated with emotional paintings to get sims in the right mood before they go to work, etc. Unless the one in Del Sol Valley offers something special, it will be the first to meet my bulldozer once I come up with something more worth the space to build there.

I use the museums for field trip day for my elders and or children. My criminals loves going to them as well. ;)

I use them with Jungle Adventure to put ancient relics in display. The SDV one would be a movie museum. It fits with the theme and aesthetic of the world but ultimately useless.

Would be cool if museums had tour guide NPC's, and they would at least give pop up texts like the forest ranger. I think art lover sims get a moodlet when inside a museum.

The first thing I will do when I get the pack.
P.U.R.E. Del Sol is going there. It's a dance club that will be updated with Get Famous content.
I will delete the current P.U.R.E. that is in San Myshuno and put back a penthouse for some celebrity to occupy.

I’m definitely gonna keep 1 museum in my game and fill it with movie stuff so it’s like a museum of actors/actresses past. Also it’ll be a place that features past celebs as well. But of course that’s gonna take a lot of work on my end, especially to get pictures and portraits done. But maybe that’ll be a cool challenge. I do hate the design of the one in DSV though, so I’ll be bulldozing that one and putting a different one in its place. I want it to be next to the Walk of Fame. <3

Museums are the most useless lots in the game. I can't imagine how any player would enjoy watching their sim's stare at picture on the wall or sculptures for hours on end. I'd rather see my sims dance, socialize, actually do something. I think the art gallery in San Myshuno is slightly better because there's an art studio and small bar area where your sims can do things.

That said, I might keep this museum, because Hollywood does have some museums about movie history, but maybe I'll just enhance it with some interesting objects the sims can use. All the other museums will be deleted.

I may do something similar to my musuem in Selvadorada.

Museum of Motion Pictures or something like that.
Probably add a cafe and small gift shop.
Celebrities could donate their awards and memorabilia.
Use the mannequins to showcase some of the acting outfits.
A research room for up and coming actors.

I would rather have a cinema. I don’t mine the museum in itself, but Del Sol Valley is so small anyway and has so few empty lots that you have to bulldoze lots if you want to add something else.

If you have a Sim doing the Painting aspiration, you need a museum for one of the tasks to complete it (view 3 paintings at a museum). I like museums as a place to send Sims on dates, especially creative Sims. I have onenough museums though (Willow Creek, Brindleton Bay) so I'll likely replace the one in DSV with a nightclub.
