That is a big annoyance, I agree.
But a bigger one for me is the sims stopping to sniff the clean room every darn five mins. You send them upstairs and wonder why they are taking so long... yes, they stopped at the top to sniff. Going back downstairs, they stop at the bottom to sniff. Sniff, sniff, sniff, it's absolutely ridiculous.
I have never before wished for nerfing, but the sniffing really has to go.
