That's good to know. I wonder if this removes the social interaction to talk about the fruitcake? I hate those permanent social interactions. There's one where you can brag about winning in the Spicy Curry challenge too and it will never go away (even if I save my sims and move them to a new save). :confounded:

If you swap "likes" and "hates" above, you can make a sim hate fruitcake instead. (And I never saw "enthuse about fruitcake" interaction on those sims). Hope that can help at least one of those annoyances.

I don't know if anyone shares this experiences, but so far the only Sims in my game that liked fruitcake were foodies. So maybe foodies are more likely to be fruitcake lovers? That said, I do think I had one foodie Sim that didn't like fruitcake.

It seems that sometime since I posted this, this trick no longer works. If anyone has an idea for fixing this, give a shout

Otherwise, farewell family heirloom fruitcake...

Just worked for me. Only, I entered the cheats in reverse order-I removed the hates fruitcake trait before I added the likes fruitcake trait. Now my sim is happily munching on the fruitcake I had her make to fix the bug that causes sims to react badly to all food if they eat fruitcake and don't like it.

One day I'm going to pay homage to the sims/prank some poor unsuspecting individual;
I going to make them a fruit cake and take it round to them (though I need a suitable event to be taking place, family gathering for example). Later I'll text them "I hope you liked the fruit cake. It's a family heirloom."

This is great, never knew this was hidden trait, so thank you. One of my favorite little things about the game is that the fruitcake never goes bad.
