Can Alien Hybrids Give Birth to Human Babies?

So I went into CAS and created a random human sim and alien sim. Playing with genetics, I gave them two children. One came out alien and the other a green human!!! But a human nonetheless! So yeah, an alien and human can give birth to aliens and humans... With that being the case, my challenge should be doable!

It's 50/50.

So here's what I'm thinking for the challenge:

Rules:

Must start with only one sim (alien or human; your choice.)

Starter sim must have at least two children. One must be human and one must be alien (how you do this i.e. alien abduction or different partners) isn't important but must have one of each and both must have the same parent.

NO CHEATS except for bb.moveobjects because for the life of me, I can not figure out how this is even considered a cheat

NO MODS I mean, come on, you can do this! I have faith in you!!!

All traits must be random!


Any thoughts, comments or suggestions?

I forgot to add the goal. So the goal for the alien is to populate the entire world/s with his/her offspring and breed out the humans. The goal for the human is to keep the population majority as human.

I took out the rule about playing both siblings' households equally since it's really going to be up to you... Which team are you on? Team Alien or Team Human? And it won't work unless you play both sides of the field. Otherwise, there's no point to it.

Good luck with the challenge, it sounds really interesting. But getting abducted is a challenge all by itself. Just keep that in mind when you come up with your set of Rules. ;)

@GalacticGal my main sim Camron has been abducted 4 times. I don't thing abductions will be the issue.

Ok so I'm back with results from my experiment :)

Ok so I created 2 couples, one human couple, got the male pregnant by abduction. The second couple had an alien dad and a human mom, gave them three pregnancies to see if they could be different - none of them were aliens, but they did inherit the blue skin tone.

So I went on to create the next generation. Couple 1's alien kid and one of blue human kids from couple 2 had a kid, and it was human but had green skin (like her father). So I tried one more pregnancy with that couple, and they had an alien kid!! I was starting to think it wasn't possible to have a full alien without two alien parents or an abduction pregnancy, but it looks like an alien has some sort of chance of having an alien baby if the other parent isn't one. Let's call this baby sim A.

I created another, a human and an alien, gave them a kid, the kid just got the skin, aged that kid up and made her have a baby with an alien until they got a full alien baby. This took a while since I kept cheating to make the baby a girl and it kept being a human but with blue skin, THEN I decided to make it a boy, and he was an alien! Sim A from above was a boy as well, and his father was the alien in the couple, same as this boy alien baby I just got, interesting that alien fathers only produced alien sons, not daughters.

So I did a tangent experiment. Where I got an a human man with alien parents (so green skin but no powers) to have 2 separate pregnancies with a full alien woman, her male baby was a human and her female child was an alien. I started thinking maybe alien parents have a higher chance of passing down their powers to their children who share their gender, but then I made her have twins, a boy and a girl, and the boy was the alien this time and the girl was a human SO IDK, I don't know if there is actually any correlation with gender and alien powers, but it was an interesting tangent.

Ok, so anyway, I had Sim A, an alien, but with human genes in his line, have some kids with one of the other female aliens who also has human genes in her line, wanted to see if they could have a chance of having a human kid. I had them have like five babies, tested out twins too, and all of the were aliens, so it looks like the alien gene is dominant when both parents are aliens.

The final question was, can aliens who only inherit the skin but not the powers have an alien child? Yes they can! It seems like alien hybrids who don't have powers but got the skin tone from having an alien parent have about a 50/50 chance of having an alien or human baby. Very interesting results, you would think that from the experiment above that two aliens with human genes in their line would be able to have a kid without alien powers, but I guess not...

On a side note, the sims who inherit the alien skin but not the powers are very unfortunate lol since they don't have the option to disguise themselves, they just have random colorful skin.

Anyway, that's a wrap on my experiment, hopefully that is helpful to someone!

@PenguinFoop it was my pleasure. My family was judging me though since I’m with them all today and I was like, “yeah just casually doing an experiment with alien genetics lol” :D

MCCC makes doing genetics tests really easy which is nice when I want questions answered without having to do long gameplay to answer them.

My next questions would be, how long can a sim’s line carry the alien power trait? Can it be dormant for several generations and show up again, or does a sim need to have a parent with alien powers to pass it down to their own children? How connected is alien skin color and alien powers? Can the alien powers go extinct from a family before the alien skin gene would disappear? Is alien skin color dominant every time? If the skin is not dominant and an alien hybrid child is born with human toned skin, can they still have an alien child with powers, or can only children who inherited the alien skin have the chance of having an full powered alien child?

I don’t have the time or energy to answer these questions right now lol but perhaps I will do a more in-depth experiment later to answer these questions since I understand the basics of alien genetics a little bit more now

@permanentrose Great questions! This is going to make for great storylines, I think. Imagine if a human child several generations removed from alien descendants with human skin tones suddenly popped out a fully powered alien child!!! What a wonderful surprise that would be! I'm really eager to find out about this!

Especially in the above challenge scenario where the aliens would essentially discard their human descendants. Then generations later, have the human lineage discard an alien descendant which would find its way back to the alien side of things! That would be awesome!

Also, did you look at my challenge idea? I believe I read in the Legacy forum that you'd played the Legacy Challenge? If so, you have some experience with challenges where I have absolutely 0 experience. So I'd be very pleased if you could help me create a challenge based on what I've listed above?

Of course anyone else who wishes to help create this challenge and make it amazing would be welcomed as well!

I want to know that it's at a good place before I create the official thread. And I'd like to know if people would be interested in doing the challenge...
