I’ve discovered that mermaids have an extremely long elder stage. Elianne and Paka’a both had 65 bonus days when I checked them, and Luke, who has just aged into elder, has 95! Since he just got his wife pregnant, I’m glad he’ll be able to see his child grow up! So I’m planning on removing all of Jade’s children’s alien-ness and turn them back into mermaids/mermen, and do the same for their children.

So I’ve changed all the sims who were hybrids, then aliens, to merfolk. It’s obvious that the alien trait wasn’t continuing into the third generation so I’ve swapped them over to see how long I can keep the mermaid trait going whilst marrying humans into the family.
