Can sims get Paranoid without Paranoid trait, because I don't have StrangerVille installed

I don't have strangerVille installed at all, the only EP's I have installed are Discovery University, Parenthood, movie, toddler and one kit pack which is only clothing. It didn't affect my sims at...

no thats not paranoid trait thats scared
which adds scream incoherently
(which spreads scared moodlet as sims scream at each other)
and running around

paranoid sims are scared more often than others though I think
