@Seamoan @Cinebar‌ It's just very inconvenient on the player. I just don't understand when designing ui why all the sudden the color was removed from it. Or why it was so severely reduced down in size either.
A more convenient UI and settings for pc players who use a separate hardware than tablet would be enjoyable. Everything has gone so dead in the forums lately and I asked that guru about the ui and if they had plans to adjust it because it caused a number of headaches for me. All just basically ignored my question, skipped it over and moved on. No i was not suggesting an idea, because i was not considering it as an idea at all. If you have a number of users getting migraines and headaches while playing your product you do customer curtesy and take it back to discuss it with your management or staff to make sure that your general audience has options to play comfortably. I was more so reporting my experience to them. I found that this has been talked about at the release of the game several times with the Guru's. I don't think they quite understand the severity. Even if people where to like the game they would not play it or buy anymore products for it if the thing is causing them headaches. Seeing the complaints about it, i can safely say it's a good sizable group affected by this. Some who probably have not been heard just decided fine i'll just not play it and moved on to another company spending money.
@Anavastia, I agree I feel this is more like a major bug in the game. Of course I don't like the UI since it is for tablet and I feel it is not easily accessed like the old ones were. And I'm afraid they see that is the problem more than the white loading screen, the white webpage, and or the UI actually causing headaches for people. I never suffer headaches with other games. Knowing I'm photosensitive you would think I would but I don't. Of course, I don't play MMORPGs that allow a lot of light flashes etc. They aren't of my interest, anyway.
Thank you for all your input here. I really did want a number of people to post who have experienced headaches after playing this game. I'm pretty savvy of what causes and triggers my headaches since I have suffered with them since the early eighties. So, I hope they will see this is a real problem in this game and actually this forum. I had asked them in another thread to please talk with a professional who understands what bright white light does to the eyes and the brain in hopes they could at least change the simple color of the white loading screens in the game, and on this site, and though I was straining to see the UI and hoped they would somehow give back the correct camera controls at the bottom so I don't have neck strain, I suppose it would be way too much to ask for that. It's like whoever designed it didn't play a game for several hours at a time.
I know we shouldn't however, I put the games on pause and get up and walk around, do some housework, make a few calls, have a bite to eat, a bathroom break etc. I hope they don't think we are complaining for the sake of complaining because yes, I know very well people are supposed to break for fifteen minutes during a one hour session. And I do this and have when playing any game. Besides I have animals that need looked after and have to break every few minutes..lol...because they are so demanding. lol
So, I feel this is a true problem for me and many others in this game and hope they will take this seriously. Even if they added things I would like to the TS4, and or maybe patched and changed a few things so I could enjoy it more and my play style...I would not be able to do so, the way it is now, since it does give me a severe headache.
And to be honest, the forum's white bright light gives me a minor headache from eyestrain, and I can only think to myself...is this Windows 98? lol
ETA: I want to add EA isn't the only one using white backgrounds for media. No matter the genre. Lately, I have noticed more and more ads have a blaring white background. Some news' media sites on the TV and on the internet are now using tags, white backgrounds, and white scrolling banners, stating update stories etc. I am starting to see them in everything. I have to wonder if this isn't some new marketing ploy and No One out there has actually considered the damage it does to the people looking at their sites, or their stations and or using their media.
Or (adjust my tin foil) it is much easier to hide gifs in white backgrounds? We all know sites use gifs we do not see....maybe those are hidden better in the white backgrounds. It used to be part of the terms of service on the BBS you understood they used those (unseen by the user) so that is the only reason I can think marketing (no matter who or where) would want everything to be white.
