I thought they were going to add an Archaeology career with the new JA gamepack, but no such luck. Luckily, I found a mod for it.

It seems the EA team is doing as little as possible when it comes to providing any sort of useful/playable content this time around, and they're leaving it up to the modders to pick up the slack.
