I go through the current list with new Sims and feel underwhelmed and bored at this point with the careers we have. CC careers just feel incomplete with the lack of reward objects and chance cards so ...

I miss the part time jobs too. There's lots of things that could be part time jobs. (I'm still hoping for Grilled Cheese Factory worker).
Part time jobs could be at any lot like:
Gym, cafe, museum...so on...
Others could be part time at the Sims Post Office. That could even be a full time career. Deliver the mail and special packages before your shift ends! You may need to overnight delivery a grilled cheese to Bella Goth!
