Can you rename your pets?

my dog just had two puppies but when it said your dog just had her puppie and its a boy what are you going to name him it made it sound like she just had one but after I gave it a name and said ok or whatever there were two puppies. So now I have to puppies with the same name. It didn't say name your two puppies. it just said first name and last name. Is there a way to change their names when their older or am I stuck with two dogs with the same name?

    You can go to manage households, click on your sims household, then choose to edit them in cas. You can then change the names of the pets there in cas.

    I think you can shift click if you've got testing cheats to edit the household too!

    I use the "testingcheats on" cheat then type in "cas.fulleditmode" and edit my sim in CAS to change things that i can only do when i create a family.

    Yes, you can change pets' names.
    After the Get to Work update, you can just change the name without cheats with Change Outfits interaction.
    So just go to the CAS either by Manage Worlds, closet or mirror and just click on the name. Don't enter the full mode cheat, it'll waste time.
    Here's something from the patch notes:
    Taken from The Sims Wiki Patch 15 page (Get to Work patch):
    ◾You can now go into Create A Sim and change the name of any of your Sims.

    ◾So go ahead, download Mr. Fluffy URox0r, because, well... you can change his name.
