Cannot Take Medicine

I cannot give my Sim child medicine! Why can't I? My Sim child ordered some medicine from the computer, but she cannot take it! There's no option for it. What do I do???

    Children can only take medicine when they are so ill that they have an illness moodlet. Symptoms alone are not sufficient. This is by design.
